Poem - Aberystwyth

Standing on the
edge of a cliff,
with breathtaking views
of Cardigan Bay and Aberystwyth.

Attracting Dolphins, Porpoises,
and Atlantic Gray Seals,
it's wonderful
is how Aberystwyth feels.

Sunsets that light
up the night,
during the Summer
is an absolute delight.

The Mediterranean feel
of flowers and palm tree's,
to a passionate winter
gale breeze.

The old castle ruins
standing on the edges,
in between two forbidding
hills it wedges.

From Pen Dinas's
Iron age fort,
to the University
is a place to be taught.

From Great Darkgate street
up to Waunfawr,
you sense this town's
pull and power.

It's a great to be,
looking out towards
Ireland,
across the Irish sea.

A town that
has stood on
it's own two feet,
becoming a Mid Wales seat.

Aberystwyth is
on the verge,
it's past and future
always merge.
