Poem - Aberystwyth

Standing on the
edge of a cliff,
with breathtaking views
of Cardigan Bay and Aberystwyth.

Attracting Dolphins, Porpoises,
and Atlantic Gray Seals,
it's wonderful
is how Aberystwyth feels.

Sunsets that light
up the night,
during the Summer
is an absolute delight.

The Mediterranean feel
of flowers and palm tree's,
to a passionate winter
gale breeze.

The old castle ruins
standing on the edges,
in between two forbidding
hills it wedges.

From Pen Dinas's
Iron age fort,
to the University
is a place to be taught.

From Great Darkgate street
up to Waunfawr,
you sense this town's
pull and power.

It's a great to be,
looking out towards
Ireland,
across the Irish sea.

A town that
has stood on
it's own two feet,
becoming a Mid Wales seat.

Aberystwyth is
on the verge,
it's past and future
always merge.

Poem - The journey

The journey's
not yet done,
got to get across
where more rivers run.

Going to places
that are near or far,
finding out about all
the beautiful things we are.

Clean across the country
into another state,
was an act
of fate.

Soaring like birds with
large wing spans,
and travelling like nomadic tribes
attached to caravans.

A restless nature
hungers and thirsts,
hoping and dreaming
this bubble never bursts.

Got to just
enjoy the ride,
until we meet again
on the other side.

For the journey
hasn't ended,
and following our truth
upon us descended.

From West Virginia
and onto Tennessee,
just moving on is
the way it has to be.

Through France
until reaching Arabian sand,
heading towards the
warm waters of Thailand.

Letting nothing stand
in our way,
until reaching India
and learning to say Namaste.

Poem - I am

I am your mountain,
you are my spring,
from my rocks
our water will fling.

I am your all,
and you my dearest
are my
beautiful waterfall.

I just marvelled
at the views below,
whilst your liquified beauty
let all your feelings show.

For there was nothing
quite so awakening
as your beautiful sight,
as your body shimmered by moonlight.

I'm your height
but completely
under your spell,
from where your last waters fell.

I am dry as a bone
without your love,
pour forth from the
rains above.

Winters coming
as a cold breeze,
in between my crevices
your ice will freeze.

For I hold you close to me
but you can't go anywhere,
hold on my darling,
for I'll always be there.

As we are connected
in a most unique way,
and that's s why
together we'll stay.

Poem - Rainbows

Rainbows

Love grows,
to become
as bright as
Rainbows.

Colours so
brilliantly bright,
to be like them
with insight.

Imaging our
favourite shade,
and all the other ones
that were made.

A streak of Yellow,
to show
a happy
fellow.

Someone as
tranquil as blue,
that radiates
a part of you.

Wherever we're led,
follow rainbows
to a land
of red.

Orange bright
as a Sun,
that's warm
and fun.

Shrouded in
a violet haze,
that nurtures
the days.

Where the rainbows
have been,
to places that
are so green.

Flying through
the air like a Pilot,
into a World
of violet.

Colours that
come to seven,
that reflect
a light of Heaven.

Poem - Settling down

Settling down

Looking at
our appearance
in the mirror,
to see if its clearer.

Not quite the
way it used
to be,
nor liking what we see.

From the wisdom
of our years,
has also produced
fears.

An emotional bag
that feels
like an
worn out rag.

Into the depths
we drown,
until it's time
for settling down.

From the
Psychological poison
that infests,
and never rests.

A tug of war
becomes the ride,
and is overwhelmed
by the currants and tide.

Weather brews
until settling down
becomes the
path we choose.

The heart cold
like snow,
that no longer knows
which way to go.

Until the freezing process
began to melt,
and became difficult
was how it felt.

Settling down
had become difficult,
because of the foundations
we had built.

For everything was
standing in our way,
unlike the times
of yesterday.

Poem - Community relations

Community relations

Its hardly paradise,
when broken
community relations
are the price.

Greed has created
a big hole,
and attempted
to scatter our soul.

Those who have
to know everything,.
unlike compassionate ones
taking you under their wing.

Rural places
try to fill a void,
to make up
for what's been destroyed.

So many
moving around,
and building upon
dangerous ground.

Fear of rivers,
and what hostility
a neighbour
delivers.

Pulling out
the roots like weeds,
and ignoring
our basic human needs.

Nothing seems
to be sacred anymore,
when your afraid
of who lives next door.

Anxious moments
of privacy invaded,
whilst homes
by the Police were raided.

The wailing sound
of the sirens
through the air,
trying to quickly get somewhere.

Cars replacing
the Horse and cart,
society less interested
in revealing it's heart.

Pessimistic
in tone perhaps,
but praying
nobody snaps.

Community relations
are like the soil,
that today
we spoil.

No-one should
be alone,
because we'd all be dying
slowly on our own.

Poem - Heat

Heat

How we long
for some Sun
and heat,
that's creates a hot seat.

OOO ouch,
and that was only
from laying on the
living room couch.

Any hotter
and we'll melt,
as the weather becomes
our sunshine belt.

No more California
here I come,
stripping off
and burning our tum.

Beach sand
that becomes scorched,
whilst the rest of us
is torched.

The steam rising
from cement,
with an Ice cream
in sight to tempt.

Out into the country
and away from it all,
with heat so intense
that becomes a brick wall.

Scantily laid bodies
laying all over the place,
who doesn't appreciate
a good looking face.

Night times
are like fiesta's,
after long Summer day
siestas.

Through heat
that's strong,
it's time to
dance all night long.
